2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302S by Ford Racing


The 440-hp Ford Mustang Boss 302S was developed by Ford Racing engineers and will be built at the Auto Alliance International (AAI) assembly plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, birthplace of the Mustang. It is based on 302nd street legal 2012 Mustang Boss Mustang BOSS 302S is powered by a 5.0-liter Boss 4-valve Ti-VCT engine V-8 and includes a gearbox 6-speed directly from BOSS 302 parts bin. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a differential of play T2 and 3.73 gears. BOSS 302S suspension has two settings coil springs over shock absorbers and Ford Racing anti-roll bars front and rear.



BOSS 302S starts uni-body like a body in white Mustang, to reduce weight, the factory seam sealer, energy dead and interior panels are removed before the conformation. In addition to strengthening the body, is a 6 point FIA legal cage installed for driver safety and chassis rigidity. The interior has Recaro Pro Racer HANS light race seat, seat belt 6-point, quick release steering wheel system and the AIM data acquisition with GPS.
BOSS 302S updates include an aerodynamic fiberglass hood heat extraction only, adjustable front splitter and rear fenders in carbon. A fashionable "retro" BOSS 302 graphics software is included with every car and imitating the graph of the original 1969 Boss 302-program. Production is scheduled for the second quarter of 2011, orders taken now participating Ford dealerships in the Ford Racing Performance Parts program by ordering part number FR500 B302 (performance white paint) or M-FR500-B302SO (orange paint).
